PhotoCraft review

PhotoCraft is the ArtCraft image editor and the app most people will try first. It is early alpha, which sets the expectation.

What it is

A native, open-source image editor built in Rust, installed through the ArtCraft launcher or on its own.

It targets the same layer-and-adjustment workflow as Photoshop, without a subscription.

What to expect

Alpha means missing tools and occasional breakage. Save often and keep a copy of the original file.

Do not plan a client deadline around it until you have run one real project through it.

Verdict

Worth installing if you want to follow the project or replace simple edits. Not yet a drop-in replacement for a working professional.
